Alan Brassington

Artist, Alan Brassington, commissioned us to capture his beautiful new studio situated in the Gloucestershire countryside. The drone was the perfect tool for showing this off! Picking the right drone for the job is also important - even in some rural locations a small drone is our preferred choice as we cause less disturbance to any villages and animals nearby. For this project we also needed to make sure the horse was comfortable with the drone and allowed plenty of time to get used to it before we got the desired shots.

Another vital element for this shoot was timing. Getting the balance of exposure in and out of the barn right was critical. We have ways around this when it comes to still photographs, but with video it’s a little trickier to get right, so being prepared to capture those final shots at the perfect point was key.
